Scarside Holiday Let: Terms and Conditions of Booking

By booking and confirming your stay at Scarside, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Booking and Payment

  • The full booking cost is due at the time of booking to secure the reservation.
  • We accept payment via direct link (sent once booking request has been made).

2. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made more than 30 days before the arrival date: You will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made between 7 and 30 days before the arrival date: You will forfeit 50% of the total booking payment.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the arrival date: The full booking payment is non-refundable.
  • We strongly recommend that guests take out appropriate travel insurance to cover any potential losses from cancellation.

3. Check-in and Check-out

  • Check-in time: 3:00 PM on the day of arrival.
  • Check-out time: 10:00 AM on the day of departure.
  • Late check-out may be possible by prior arrangement, and may incur an additional charge.
  • Guests are responsible for ensuring the property is left in a clean and tidy state upon departure, and that all windows and doors are securely locked.

4. House Rules

  • Guest Numbers: The maximum number of guests is 4. This must not be exceeded at any time.
  • Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property. Any evidence of smoking will result in a cleaning fee.
  • Pets: We permit one well-behaved dog at an additional charge of £15 per stay. The dog is not allowed on any furniture, including sofas and beds.
  • Noise: Please be considerate of the neighbours. Loud music and excessive noise are not permitted, especially between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM.
  • Damage: Guests are responsible for any damage or breakages to the property or its contents. We reserve the right to charge guests for the cost of repair or replacement.

5. Liability

  • Scarside and its owners are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury to guests or their personal property during their stay, unless caused by our negligence.
  • Guests use the property and its facilities at their own risk.

6. Data Protection

  • Any personal information provided during the booking process will be stored securely and used solely for the purpose of managing your reservation and communicating with you about your stay. We will not share your information with any third parties.
  • We ask for feedback on a form in the information folder. If you agree to give feedback this way

7. Governing Law

  • These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
